Why I'm A Quality Board Member:

Current NVSD Board Member

I was appointed to the board in November 2023 and have been the Vice Chair but acting as the Chair for the past several months. Prior to being on the Board of Directors, I was on both the Budget and Health Committees.

State Licensed Family Childcare Provider

I've been a state licensed Registered Family childcare provider for over 10 years, with many of the children in my care attending NVSD. I've taken over 80 classes related to early childhood education, health, and safety.

Long History With NVSD

I'm the daughter of a former teacher and an alumni of NVSD, a 2003 graduate myself, and my fiancée and I have six kids enrolled the K8, two of whom will be in high school next school year.

Over the years I have volunteered many times as a chaperone with my kids' classes, and assisted their teachers with various class projects. I join the high school's pep band any chance I can, and play in the orchestra for the spring musical almost every year.

Current Member of the OR LGBTQIA2S+ School Board Members Advisory Committee

I've been an active member since May 2024, joining up with other board members who identify as part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, advocating for the recognition of the unique need of LGBTQIA2S+ students and staff.

Currently Serving on the Early Childhood Suspension & Expulsion Prevention Program Advisory Commitee

I'm proud to be part of this amazing group of childcare providers and early childhood educators since it's start in March 2024, advocating for the supports of children with challenging behaviors and the people who take care of them.
